Day 13 - Google Docs

Konnichiwa World,

Yes, Yes, I know you can see my blog now...................... Library staff that is.......
sigh.... in hindsight I should have used that spell checker a little more often...

(oh and just to let you know this is the second time I am writing this particular post... because some how, very annoyingly I might add, I lost the post after having written for at least 1/2 hour so how might one ask did i lose it............ who knows - it does save on a regualar basis.... but no this time it was lost............... lost.................... LOST...... so a few hours later Iam back trying to recall what I wrote............ it went a little something like this....................................) (don't laugh!)

Well its like this, I finally decided to share my blog because I decided that all this web 2.0 technology is about creating stuff and then shareing it with the world...THE BIG WIDE WORLD.........

and if i wasn't sharing than maybe I wasn't getting the full experience so I decided to share.. ... And as I tell my 5 year old neice "You should share.... Sharing is good" ... and hence my blog is now available for most to see.... Scary Huh!!! I reckon though that you'll be bored to tears and won't have even got this far, so i am safe.....

I still reckon though that some things aren't for shareing, I am continually amazed at what people share... while I am still floundering around mulling over
What to share, how much to share, and what will the consequences be of all this shareing.....



You know I reckon the word limit of 150 is lost on me............ I am seem to be able to blab about anything for quite a long time...... There should be a word count on this.......... Is there one?? Please let me know if there is........it may help :)

Anyway, Google Docs.... I like it.............. I think it could be usefull instead of sending a document back via email a few hundred times to get changes (believe me I've been there done that) It would be usefull to have others look at it and then make the changes so as not to get confused about which is the current version (I've had sad to say been confussed about what document is the most current many times)

Maybe I should have tried this for the CSI - Stock Standard email responses that are currently sitting in G drive and having track changes.....

Google Docs would be usefull whenever a document needed updating so that people can make comments / edit it........

I have one more module to go, I 'd like to talk a bit about web 2.0 nasties / privacy as well...... so that may be an addition.

Anyway now if anyone has been bored to tears reading this, I did say at the very beginning on Day 0 or 1 that it was "My Journey into 23 things" and well it still is "My Journey"..............

p.s Does the keyboard short cuts for cut and paste work on this thing???? Please let me know if you have found out how to do this.
